Alvaro del Portillo (1914-1994) was the Founder's great supporter, and remained at his side from a very young age until his death. He played an important role in the Second Vatican Council, and was ordained bishop in 1991. He was beatified on 27 September 2014, with his feast day celebrated every May 12th.
